Prison Transfer

Prison transfers can have a large impact on a prisoner’s welfare while completing their sentence. By allowing a prisoner transfer to a location closer to their loved ones, they can feel more comfortable and may be less likely to act inappropriately.

This area is no longer funded by Legal Aid. The Prison can transfer a prisoner to any prison in the UK unless they are on parole hold or on hold for any other reason. If a prisoner is too far away from their loved ones, or their visitors cannot attend due to having a medical condition or young children, we can help. We will submit a transfer application to the prison with the relevant details requesting the prison transfer.

At Bloomsbury Law, we understand that a prison transfer can be very personal. We also understand that it can have a huge impact on your personal well-being and compliance while in prison. If you or someone you know is seeking legal advice on a prison transfer, please get in contact with our team of specialists. We will listen to your situation, answer any inquires you may have and advise you accordingly once we are instructed.
